Chappy's was closed a month later after the episode aired, by the state for failure to pay taxes (in June, 2013). Chef Chapman moved and opened Chappy's Bistro in Gulfport, MS, in November, 2013 but it subsequently closed in October, 2014. Never one to give up, Chapman and his wife moved back to New Orleans and opened yet another Chappy's.
