Tatakai no Banka (1986) Online

There was an arcade game of this particular title and an NES game which is the one I played and actually enjoyed. I played the arcade version once, but it was on a disc of old Capcom games and I was bitterly disappointed when it was not the NES version. Well both versions feature a guy with a shield and sword (hence the protection comment in my summary), but the NES version while lacking in graphics is by far the better of the two games as it has a lot more depth. It also delighted me that I was able to defeat the last boss in this one when the person who lent it to me could not. The game is difficult, not in the nearly impossible way some Nintendo games are, but it did prove quite challenging. Then again seeing as how I won it, it may be rather easy to most people. In the game you run around with a sword and shield battling different enemies. At times you get your shield and sword knocked away at which point you punch and kick and need to get back your equipment or you are not going to last. The setting at times looks like some post apocalyptic world. You can collect a power up to help you jump in this one and as is the case with a lot of Nintendo games you fight a boss at the end of each stage. Not overly complicated or anything, but I found it fun.
