At the the end of Pacey's weepy apology to Audrey- through the airport's intercom- he subtlety proclaims "Free the West Memphis Three." The "West Memphis Three" referred to 3 teenage boys from West Memphis, Arkansas who were wrongly accused & convicted of murdering 3 young boys in 1993. They spent 18 years in prison but were released in 2011 on a plea. At the time this episode aired there were many celebrities bringing awareness to this case & the injustice of it. All of that awareness is what ultimately freed the "West Memphis Three" making Pacey's wish for their freedom successful.
