"American Idol" -St. Louis Auditions - Feb. 2, 2012We open with old home video footage of Carrie Underwood at home in OK on her way to audition in St. Louis for "American Idol."We then get a montage of folks in the present doing the same thing.We get the obligatory montage of St. Louis sighs and sounds.A whiny cab driver weighs in on the traffic.First up is John Keyser who is a child of divorce who lives with his dad. John's family gets a look at his audition on a video screen outside the room. He sings Sam Cooke's "A Change is Gonna Come" a very overdone audition song. He's pretty good. Also, very attractive. They love him and he's going to Hollywood.We get a montage of terrible singers from past auditions and then we get one from the present day in "silent movie" fashion a la "The Artist."We get a glimpse of happy folks making friends in line.We then meet soon-to-be-divorced mom Rachelle Lamb who was held back from pursuing her dreams by her soon-to-be-ex. She goes into the audition...
