This is one of the few episodes where, at the end, there is no "goodnight" sequence. The family goes to Charlottesville to pay their last respects to President Franklin D. Roosevelt. In the final shot, the train passes by with the president's coffin seen through the windows of the last car. The train continues on, and fades into the distance.
