Which American city had the first subway system: New York or Boston? Boston to my surprise. The streets became so flooded with people, cars and trolleys that it was constant gridlock. Thus, Boston embarked on building the first American underground transportation system. At the time, the idea was criticized with the fear of electricity used in such a manner, which felt as foreign as Elon Musk's Hyperloop seems today. The hour long documentary shows a slew of old photos and diagrams while telling the engineering feats, dangers and accidents that posed huge hurdles during completion. Solid, informative yet nothing spectacular.
