This marks the first live action appearance of the future "Hall of Justice", which was the headquarters for the animated series Super Friends (1973).

Kara Danvers' first appearance in the Arrowverse. Though Supergirl (2015) crossed over with Flash (2014) in "Supergirl: Worlds Finest (2016)", that episode exclusively featured Barry on Kara's Earth, not the other way around.

The image of the STAR Labs Hall and Hangar building that supposedly becomes the Hall of Justice was a CGI manipulation of photos of the old Union Station in Cincinnati, Ohio. The former train station (now a museum) was the inspiration for the Hall of Justice in the original 70's Super Friends (1973) cartoon. When Barry tells Thea he owns the hall and hanger, she tells him he should do something with it which might foreshadow a CW version of "Justice League".

Joe talks about watching the Sci-Fi channel and learning about aliens. Jesse Martin once portrayed an Alien in the popular series "The X-Files." The episode was titled "The Unnatural" from the sixth season.

Barry tells Kara that she's not the first superhero to be mind-controlled. In the first Flash/Supergirl crossover episode, Kara was dealing with the fallout from being mind controlled by red kryptonite, and Barry recalled when he was controlled in a similar fashion. The latter incident also occurred during a crossover story between the Flash and Arrow.

The second of a four night crossover between the CW shows Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends Of Tomorrow.

When Ray explains to Barry about what happened to Snart, you can hear the theme from Legends of Tomorrow episode Marooned when Snart pretended to kill Ray.

Supergirl's universe is officially dubbed "Earth 38", referencing the year that the first superhero comic, "Action Comics", featuring Superman, was published.

In one scene, Heat Wave declares he won't call Kara "Supergirl", and intends to call her the epithet "skirt" instead. Though he doesn't in this episode, he does refer to her that way in the "Legends of Tomorrow" leg of the crossover when he makes a crude romantic pass at her as she prepares to return home.

Grant Gustin (Barry Allen/The Flash), Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon/Vibe) and Melissa Benoist (Kara Danvers/Supergirl) are the first actors to appear on all four of The CW's DC shows: Vibukütt (2012), Flash (2014), Supergirl (2015) and Legends of Tomorrow (2016).

Of the several characters assembled at the de facto "Hall of Justice" during the crossover, Barry Allen (Flash), Oliver Queen (Green Arrow), Cisco Ramon (Vibe), Wally West (Kid Flash), Kara Danvers (Supergirl), Professor Stein (half of Firestorm) and Ray Palmer (Atom) were actually members of the Justice League in the comic books. The others are either non-members or replacement characters created for the series.

When Iris discovers that Oliver is Green Arrow, she remarks that he has gotten "so much hotter" in her eyes. This references her attraction to him when they first met during the initial crossover between The Flash and Arrow.

The aliens in this episode are called the Dominators. In the comics, Barry Allen's children, Don and Dawn (aka the Tornado Twins), died in battle against the Dominators in the 30th century

When the legends are seen coming out of the temporal zone, the ship that they are seen in a ship similar to the ship Abra Kadabra uses later down season three.

Thea/Speedy told Supergirl that she heard she was "stronger than a locomotive." This is in reference to the introduction of the 1940s "Superman" radio program.

Oliver and Diggle learn about Barry creating the Flashpoint timeline, and that Dig's son John, Jr. used to be his daughter Sara.

Barry explains to Lyla that the aliens would give Ridley Scott nightmares, referring to the fact that Scott directed Tulnukas (1979).

Oliver offers his support to Barry regarding the latter's attempt to change the timeline to save his parents, saying that he would do the same thing that Barry did. In the next episode of the crossover, Oliver gets to experience a similar timeline where his own parents are still living.

After the President is taken from the motorcade Lyla states "the traveler was taken." The Traveler is a title for Superman during the Smallville tv series.

The crossover continues. If I'm being honest, I find it very hard to review this episode. It's kind of like the first time I saw The Avengers. My enjoyment clouds my judgment on how good the quality of the episode actually is. Sure, we've had Arrow and Flash crossover episodes the past two seasons, but nothing can quite compare to what The CW is attempting to accomplish this year. 4 shows colliding with each other with dozens of characters at their fingertips. I won't say it was perfect, but these episodes are undeniably fun and entertaining. Isn't that all I can really ask for?

Surprise surprise, we had heroes fighting heroes! We didn't make it more than a minute in the episode before Barry & Oliver took on most of the other costumed heroes. Admittedly, 2016 has been flooded with the whole heroes vs heroes idea, and to a certain extent it's getting old. But because these shows haven't had the opportunity to do that yet, I'll give them a pass. Plus, wasn't it pretty cool seeing most of these fights? I would have liked less CGI fighting and more hand to hand combat like Sara & Oliver's scuffle, but that's what we get with a CW budget.

Part of my love for the yearly crossovers comes by way of the simple things. Like the intro with all 4 logos, the music of each show coming together, or just Diggle freaking out over superpowers. It's stuff like this that can excel my enjoyment even higher, and I'm glad the show-runners take advantage of such things. It has to be a writer's dream and nightmare to have all of these characters to use as you like. Heatwave and Supergirl's banter? Pure gold. Or even just thinking about all the things each character had to catch up on with each other like Caitlin having powers, Iris finally finding out Oliver was the Green Arrow, or Barry's trip to Flashpoint. All seemed to flow nicely and create for some timely dialogue.

Actually, Flashpoint had a greater impact on tonight's episode than I imagined it would. That, and Barry's speech to the Legends about not trusting him when a "war comes" provided Barry's arc for the episode. I can't blame the Legends for being ticked, considering their very purpose as time travelers is to correct timelines that have been tampered with. But I also found it a little weird that the message supposedly had to do with Barry altering the timeline to Flashpoint. I'd like to think that there was more to that message than just the team shouldn't trust Barry, right? After all, why then would the message come from 40 years in the future instead of just a present timeline Barry?

As this episode was technically part 2 of 4, it's hard to give this episode a proper grade without seeing the finishing product, but there wasn't a whole lot to complain about here. I'm still not a fan of Wally complaining about people not believing in him. Seriously, just get him to being Kid Flash (stupidest name) or don't. Stop tinkering around. Or Stein's misplaced trip to his wife's/I guess his daughter's home (what was that about?). Other than that, everything was set up well for tomorrow. Keep this up CW!

+Everyone (almost), together!

+Heroes vs heroes worked for the most part

+Dig can't handle superpowers

+Leadership issues among the group made sense

+Everyone catching up

-Stein & Wally stuff was blahhh

The only thing I need to do right now is slow clap.. My expectations weren't high because Arrow has been going downhill and Supergirl and the Legends are really bad, but this episode was amazing and they totally pulled this crossover thing off. I also loved how they fitted the Flashpoint storyline in there and Barry's message from the future. Looking forward to the next one P.S.: There's no need to watch Supergirl S02E08.. It has nothing to do with the crossover and it was boring as hell

Seriously I don't have anything else to say but I need to pass 10 lines so that my review can be submitted.. Is it OK now IMDb??? Is it long enough??

Amazing episode. It is so exciting to see all of the superheroes/supergirl's team be united this way!I won't say best episode because for me the best episode of this season so far was last week's (episode 7) episode. There is only one thing that I didn't like - it is Cisco's attitude towards Barry. He is taking it way too hard on Barry.I can understand that he is angry but come on Barry suffered a lot too!How does it feel to know that even if you have power you have watch your mom die in front of you. He sacrificed his own happiness in season 1 final episode and did not change the timeline (may be Cisco didn't remember it?) Watching your father die in front you season 2 was too much pain to handle and he did made a mistake but wasn't he punished for it too when he have to beg his worst enemy to kill his mother AGAIN!!!I don't know much about comic books but I watch this show mostly because of Grant Gustin's Barry Allen and one of the attraction of this show is the bond between Barry/Caitlin/Cisco (which seems to be damaged permanently) so it is very hard to see the treatment Cisco is giving Barry right now :(

Wow, what a mind blowing episode? This crossover is setting up to be the best one yet. The crossover starts with the Dominators arriving. Barry realizes this a huge threat he can not stop, and he gets the help of Green Arrow, Supergirl, and the Legends of Tomorrow. The Dominators then capture the president, and the team must stop the Dominators. The team also learns about Flashpoint. The special effects were amazing, and this episode, hands down, contains the best action scene in any CW superhero show. Spoilers!!! The Flash and Green Arrow vs. the rest of the team who were mind controlled was jaw dropping, and it's definitely the reason this score is as high as it is despite the issue. My issue with the episode is Cisco. Sad Cisco is really not working, and I'm worried that he will be like Felecity. Cisco should most of the time be a light hearted presence. Overall, I can't wait for part 2. Grade: 9.8/10

I'm going to start by saying, this episode was amazing. While we have had previous crossover episodes in the past between the Flash and Arrow and then Flash and Supergirl, there is just something about this crossover that put this way above the others. I large part of that I think is the range of cast. I am a big fan of all four shows so to see the main cast members from each of them be all together in one big crossover is amazing.

Before jumping into the actually crossover, I want to touch on the Flash side of this episode. I am imagine that it is going to be very similar for Arrow and Legends but even though this episode was essentially just part of a bigger picture, it was the B and C story lines that were owned by the Flash.

The big Flash influence is of course the ramifications of Flashpoint. While we have been dealing with them throughout this season, I still felt that we got a new side of the results of Flashpoint. This ties into the message which Jax and Stein found on the Waverider in Legends, where Barry reveals to them that he changed the timeline and because of that the future will be dramatically effects. What I liked about the topic of Flashpoint coming up is not that the other characters cared so much that part of their lives were changed, but more that they felt that Barry had betrayed them in a way. From the Legends point of view, they spend their lives correcting changes people do in the past, and what Barry did goes completely against what they stand for. I now like that it is out in the open though and that Barry no long has to hidden from what his done.

The other Flash storyline we got this episode was Wally. I mentioned last week that I liked how they had Wally have his powers in time for the crossover because he gets to be in the company of other heroes which he inspires to be. I thought on a whole Wally was used well. From Wally's point of view he wants to help but we still got that push back from Joe and Iris wanting Wally to stay out of action. Not going to lie but it was great to see Wally take out a few people and call himself Kid Flash. Adding on to this, we finally got a form of role that HR Wells can do to no longer make him pointless. I'm not sure how it is going to turn out but for the mean time, having a Wally and Wells teams could be fun.

Now into the actually crossover. I got to start by saying, this wouldn't be a team up without the Hall of Justice. While I'm not quite sure where this is physically located on Earth or why we haven't seen it previously, but at this point I really hope that we get to see a lot more of the Hall of Justice in the future.

On the Dominators themselves, they look amazing. I have only seen bits a pieces of them in comic book form, but from what I know they look pretty spot on, red rot and all. I'm excited to see how they will work in the next few episodes, because even though they looked really cool, they didn't do a hell of a lot.

I mentioned in this week's Supergirl episode that her episode wasn't really connected to the overall crossover and because of that, this episode really felt like part 1, with Arrow's episode going being part 2 and Legends will be part 3. With that, this episode was the introduction we needed which set up the events of Arrow's episode which will be resolved during Legends.

I really loved the fight they had towards the back end of the episode when most of the team was under brain control. For someone who watches all four shows and is so invested into these characters, this fight is the TV scale of the Civil War airport fight. It was great seeing Barry and Oliver against the rest of the team because they are the most senior characters of the team and they are two of the best fighters. I really liked how they comboed the team up with team Arrow fighting Oliver and the rest fighting Barry, and then later Barry and Kara fighting against each other as the two powerhouses of the team.

I think my favourite thing this episode though way Oliver. Oliver is the senior of the team and it was great to see him play the leader role without officially being in charge. I thought his dialog this episode was fantastic and on a whole, I think this episode was a big step in reviving Arrow as a show. I've been a big fan of this season after a few down episodes and when there is writing like what we got this episode with a character we have been on a 4 year journey with in Oliver, it makes me appreciated the show so much more and makes me even more excited to have a great Arrow season again.

Overall, fantastic part 1 to what we now know is a 3 night crossover. I'm excited to see where it is going to go over the next 2 nights and after the display of Oliver his episode, I'm extremely excited to go back and see some early season Arrow characters interacting with Oliver next episode.

***SPOILERS*** So the Mega Crossover is here folks! The wait is over. The Flash's recruitment of team Arrow, legends and Supergirl were shown so fast that if you look somewhere else you'll miss it. Anyways, I was afraid they wouldn't be able to handle all 4 of the show's important main cast but they proved me wrong. The main cast of all the 4 shows each had enough screen time i.e, nearly all the main legends characters gave their part (Sara, Mick, Ray, Stein and Jefferson) and made their presence felt. But the main heroes of this episode were Supergirl, Flash and Arrow.

But even between all of the vast cast we still knew this was a Flash episode as this crossover event explored the Flashpoint ramifications even more than the previous episodes and showed us the consequences of the Flashpoint event were also felt in Legends of Tomorrow as (SPOILER*) Martin Stein started remembering another past of him having a daughter ( or is it something he did?). And the truth about Diggle having a daughter came out also. The best moment for me was when Oliver stayed behind with Barry to console him. And another big flashpoint effect was revealed.

So then we had yet another Heroes vs. Heroes fight again this year. After all, the TV shows were left for it. It was really good seeing Barry and Oliver going 2 against 'The Legends, Team Arrow (Dig and Thea) SUPERGIRL. I suppose the fight choreograph could've been better. The vfx were done good. They did a nice blend of mixing all the different scores for each show into one. :-)

Now onto the villains. These dominators had very limited time in this episode. I hope they give them ample amount of screen time so that they would actually feel like a threat to the world and it needs all of the superheroes to Team Up and stop them.

The supportive cast - Cisco, Caitlin, H.R, Felicity, Wally, Iris and Joe were their and made their presence felt and Hey! Wally got to help this time although he then got beat up. ;)

Anyways, this episode was a strong crossover as well as a Flash episode which had it's real funny, goofy moments and the very emotional ones exploring the consequences of Flashpoint. Can't wait to see Arrow's 100th episode tomorrow night.

So basically the show starts with barry fighting with the rest of the team that are supposed to beat the dominators and it's good thing they have got a history and backstory to cover it up.So, then barry realizes these dominators cannot be defeated alone so, he reaches out to everyone and called for a team-up *Best team up ever* and then blake neely full on vibe and gave a pretty nice score for the much awaited crossover. So for the DC fans who wants the heroes to fight against them. This will be the best just like BVS and finally we get to hear the Future barry's message warning rip hunter to not trust barry this time.So basically the writers are connecting every aspect of the DCTV universe. It'll be great if there's Batman too. Finally this is awesome.

4 TV superhero shows crossover? Yes, it is possible. And the result was splendid. The task is,fighting the aliens. Yet, this is not all, as some of the people are influenced by the Flashpoint unleashed by Barry Allen. And thanks to Flashpoint, some surprises are in store.Such as the biggest one involving Martin Stein, who comes home accompanied by Caitlyn Snow (btw when Stein called her Ms.Snow, wasn't he supposed to call her Mrs.Raymond?). In my opinion the Stein-Snow talk was one of the highlights of the episode. And the sheer surprise of the former, when they arrive at Martin's house, and instead of Clarissa Stein there is.... his daughter, who is stunned to see him, yet he is very much confused....

Best acting performances in this episode: Grant Gustin as Barry Allen,Danielle Panabaker as Caitlyn Raymond, Victor Garber as Martin Stein

Episode jumps right in and teases a future superheroes vs. superheroes fight and then it cuts to the new cool looking logo that combines all of the shows' logos as well as the music from all four shows, I really liked this intro.

The crossovers in the past have always been entertaining but this time it's on a whole new level. This year we've got four shows instead of two crossing over and a whole dozen characters that have to team-up right after just meeting each other.

This episode is a good long moment and among my favourite parts were the oh so great character interactions. Best of the bunch is Supergirl getting acquainted with Heatwave, kryptonian meets pyromaniac thief. Mick Rory is most likely here to just burn some alien meat so I get why he won't care to get to know people he probably won't see again as far as he knows. Other good interactions were between Oliver and Barry. I love how they've been in ten episodes together (Arrow/Flash episodes combined) over the course of three whole years and their friendship is one of the best in the Arrowverse and it really shows in this episode. In this episode they connected and spoke openly about their similarly tragic backstories and they also shared the role of leader which wasn't always the case in past crossovers. They make a good combination to lead the fight against the Dominators. However, things don't go as planned.

The team decides to confront the Dominators, the effects look really good on the aliens btw, but they leave Barry and Oliver back at Star Labs because future Barry says he can't be trusted and Oliver doesn't think so so he stays with Barry. So leaving out the most powerful member aside from Supergirl and their best non-meta fighter the team walk into a trap that puts them under the control of the Dominators. Fast forwarding a bit we finally get to the fight that was teased at the beginning and we see a lot of superhero action that many including me wanted to see. As I predicted the non-flying heroes attack the Green Arrow and the flying ones attack the Flash. Barry proves his worth as the Flash by utilizing his tricks (lightning throw & phasing) that I wish he'd do more often. Oliver fights Sara in a not as cool fight scene but I'll admit it's hard to do an elaborate hand-to-hand combat scene when you have to cut back and forth to a super fast special effects heavy chase scene. I think it worked out well in the end but I wish Oliver got the chance to take down either the Atom or Firestorm with some trick arrow. Anyway, there are still 84-86 minutes left of the crossover and next episode is Arrow's 100th episode so hopefully Oliver gets a cool fight scene.

Diggle was hilarious throughout the episode, as he usually is in every crossover he appears in. His lines were some of the best moments.

At first I thought the old Star Labs place looked very familiar and then I realized, it looks like the Hall of Justice building, very fitting for this Justice League type of event.

Music was fantastic this episode, the music for the Dominators was creepy and the mixing of the themes was awesome.

I watched Supergirl's episode but I think the crossover really started here and I hope it will continue to be this good, possibly even better in Invasion!s part 2 and 3.

All in all I think this was the best crossover episode so far, topping "Flash vs. Arrow" from two years ago and I hope it will only get better in parts 2 and 3!

Invasion was a really good episode of Flash, we have an allien race which introduced to us for first time as (dominators),they are trying to attack the earth, another good thing is the alliance of supergirl, legends and flash team, (I don't like at all team arrow although they are to). The very bad thing and this is the reason that I gave 7/10 is the "team arrow" which they appear to the episode, I stopped watching arrow because of the worst character in TV history Felicity Smoak, the whole team is in danger fighting the alliens and Felicity tries to understand what happened between Cisco and Barry ? and making awful jokes? oh god it took me one year to forgot how awful is this actress/character why the hell they put her in this episode she was really useless. The second bad thing is that the episode continious at Arrow, why the hell they do that because the rates of arrow goes to hell they forced us to watch arrow? unspeakable.....

+ alliance supergirl, flash, legends,(only green arrow + thea not the rest) - Felicity Smoak

So far, crossovers with Arrow have been handled a little cackhandedly, but at the very least they do give you enough information in the pre-credits recap that the story will make some sort of sense.

Sadly, this is not the case with this episode. It starts off well enough for a crossover episode, but then it commits a cardinal sin.

"Continued on Arrow"

Yes. You have to tune into a completely different series 5 years in to find out how it continues. Not "ends", "continues". You apparently have to tune into yet another completely different series 2 years in to find out the end.

And by the next episode of The Flash, everything has evidently been resolved, and is never mentioned again. The only thing that's changed is that Cisco and Barry seem to have made up their differences. No idea how that happened-I guess we'll never know.

For those of us watching the show via syndicated broadcasts/streaming, I can honestly say this episode was a complete waste of time. Neither Arrow nor whatever the other series is called are available where I live, so the story will forever remain unresolved. I can only imagine how annoying the second and third parts must be to watch without the context of this episode.

Whoever thought that only making and broadcasting one third of a story was a good idea ought to be fired. Out of a cannon preferably.

Just finished watching this episode and it is much better than the Supergirl episode which was yawn and only had a 2 minute bit at the end with Barry and Cisko.

OK they're all brought together by Barry rather sharpish. introductions are made, Supergirl, Arrow, Arrow, Supergirl, you get the idea.

So they pretty much start off training against Supergirl cause she's an alien which ends up being a pointless exorcise, I mean it's Supergirl for crying out loud. Better off just going straight for The Dominators who look liked they had been rejected from the Mel Gibson movie SIGNS.

Cisko just not letting the whole Barry killed my Bro thing go and ends up being a bit of a D**k. Barry has doubt of being a leader to the group oh the angst, the world is in danger, man up and get stuck in.

OK so the President is kidnapped by the DOMS, clearly if this had been Donald "tiny hands" Trump no one would have bothered their ass going to save him. But lucky for us it's another dude, so Supergirl and some of the others go to save him.

Let me start off by saying Supergirl could have done all this on her own, she could see the President with her x-ray vision, she knew exactly where he was, she as fast as The Flash but yet chooses to walk in with the group.

It's a trap and they all get controlled by the DOMS, who then get them to go fight Barry and Oliver, so this battle rages for a bit and I realised well this saves on the budget having them fight each other than CGI aliens. Wally flexes his speed and pitches in to help Bazz and Ollie but like the failing of Barry no matter how fast you are you can't help pausing to monologue or ponder something or looked surprised enough to get hurt or the bad guy get away.

I enjoy watching Flash with my son so this episode was OK, I'll tolerate Arrow for the sake of the crossover storyline and again tolerate Legends even though basically they're a bunch of Muppets Other than that it was OK, the chase scene with Bazz and Skirt was good

So o.k. just started to get into this series and this awesome episode of all the different allies joining forces to fight aliens cool cool then it just stops with people being sucked up and bam to be continued on Arrow, So now I am suppose to start another series just to see how this ends... you could have at least said which Arrow episode...

Good gravy, the amount of relationship drama ALMOST ruined this ep:

  • Cisco: PLEASE take time away from StarLabs/Barry to grief/heal yourself. Preferably starting yesterday. Not even you can make this passive/aggressive, whiny, emo schtick look good.

  • LoTsters: not only are they egotistical, they're also hypocrites.

  • Evil Barry/Flashpoint is becoming a zero-sum SL, drama for drama sake with no believable resolutions possible.

  • People who only watched the Supergirl ep for the 40-second crossover teaser must be feeling super ripped off.

  • Iris: welp, she's Wally's anchor now. Or barnacle. Better him than Barry. Gotta "love" self-serving Iris who hates being lied to but has no problem lying to others. Not to mention she clearly believes she belongs in the super friends club but Wally doesn't. Egotistical and a hypocrite. She'd make a great LoTster.

What should have a been a fun crossover is bogged down with piled-on faux drama. By this point, the ep deserved a score of 5.

AND THEN!!!

The Oliver/Barry bromance sprinkled through the ep beared actual fruit, hearkening back to the first Flarrow crossover:

+ Oliver standing by Barry was surprising since he's not exactly Pollyanna.

+++ Oliver giving a positive/heartfelt/sensible pep talk from the pov of someone who's been there aka being an inspiring hero/leader.

++++++ Oliver and Barry CAPABLY holding off the rest of the team and Barry figuring out how to stop the mind machine. This is what I want to see when I watch a SUPERHERO show.

Honorable mention:

+ Liked how they incorporated Lyla so she didn't feel shoehorned. Would like to see her have a recurring role in Flash as she does on Arrow. There's gotta to be 1 sensible woman in the Berlantiverse and it might as well be her (or Dr. McGee).

+ Caitlin/Martin: nice symmetry of Caitlin who's sort of like a daughter to Martin being there as he learns he has a daughter now. Also, gotta give props to Caitlin for recognizing that she didn't have much to offer to the superfriends.

+ Flashpoint gave back some of Eobard Wells' future tech???

+ Mick: never ever ever change. He makes LoT watchable. In this crossover ep, he was the perfect counterpoint to sun-shiny Supergirl. During her convo with him, I could almost see Kara thinking "what did Barry get me into?!"

Lyla, O/B bromance, and Oliver and Barry's kickass fight against the team salvaged the ep from the drama llamas: 9.0

Believe it or not, The Invasion! 3-part crossover was enjoyable!

They're certain areas for me that was cringe worthy.

01. Iris being overprotected to Wally: She was acting more like a mother than a "sibling" (which in reality both Iris and Wally are aunt and nephew)that forbids her to not use his speed. Though i was happy to see Wally fully embrace himself as Kid Flash and standing up to "drama queen".

02. Vibe's grudge on Flash: Through the entire crossover, Cisco's personal grudge on Barry being responsible for changing the time line resulted in his brother's death was just getting ridiculous as his pop culture references. But karma really bit him in the ass after he alter time by helping freed a Dominator resulted in a much bigger problem. Cisco missed up & they got paid. Serves him right.

03. Felicity: Less of her, the better :) Moving on! :)

04. Arrow 100: though it was a nice milestone, the subplot with Cisco, Felicity & the Outsiders along with Flash & Supergirl (aka the Justice Glee) was the main focus and less of Ollie, Diggle, Sara, Ray & Thea that were abducted by the Dominators.

06. The FX: The Dominators were created using cutting-edge computer effects to achieve a feature film-quality look which is faithful to Invasion! artist Todd McFarlane's interpretation of the characters. Though hats off to the FX people, we've only seen little of the Dominators. Plus in the credits, who provided their voice?

07. The Network: for the men and women of the CW, the marketing for this crossover suck, even the tag line "Heroes v Aliens" was kind of lame (especially that the White Canary & Heat Wave are actually "Legendary" villains). But the worst of it is that they marketed as a 4 part crossover event. Flash, Arrow & Legends has titled "Invasion!" & it's only 3 parts "not 4". The majority of Supergirl's episode "Medusa" was a standalone episode except the final 2 minutes (incuding 1 and 2 scenes) and yet fans eat it up. All it ended up was a error of promotion & labeled it as a 4 part episode, which turned out to be nothing but a cheap gimmick.

And finally, 08. Supergirl: 1 word: overkill. Barry thought this was a good idea, thinking "in order to fight aliens, we need an alien (but from a different earth)" by getting help from Supergirl. For me it was a waste of time & effort. In the end it was more of a tag along. The training sequence between her and Green Arrow, Speedy & the "Legends" was a joke, giving everything they got and just "tickling" her. Also Kara was kind of out of place, no where to fit in & was underused. To be honest with you, they didn't really need Supergirl in this crossover. They could've fought the Dominators without her.

For the good moments:

  • the hall of justice

  • The standoff scene

  • The fight sequences

  • familiar faces: Deathstroke, Laurel, Ollie's parents, etc.

  • Team ups!!

Minus the flaws, some of the wooden acting & the unnecessary soap opera drama and characters, It was enjoyable. :)

Invasion! 9/10

The real first episode of the superhero team up of DC characters, this "Invasion!" offers lots of fun with so many superheroes together, and very nice dynamics between all of them, but a plot that is a little bit under-cooked overall.

Barry has gone around assembling as many heroes as he can: he has got Supergirl from another universe, the Green Arrow, White Canary, Speedy, Firestorm, the Atom, Heat Wave... because some aliens have come to Earth and don't seem to have very good intentions. The new super- team will try to mesh up as fast as possible as the aliens don't seem to be too friendly. Will they be able to stop the invasion? What about Barry's relationships with Cisco and the other about his Flashpoint wanderings and all the time-lines change? Why do the aliens go and kidnap the president of the country when there are so many interesting things they could do?

That is first of the shortcomings of the episode: the kidnapping of the president and the aliens using it as a trap makes not much sense and it's boring. The other one is that with so many superheroes (and aliens) around, some characters don't get much screen time. Oh, and how come Cisco, as powerful as he is, is all the time sitting around, not joining the fight?

On the other hand, that the show is able to manage so huge a cast and give all of them good action scenes is a positive. Another one is that it still has time to advance the plot of "The Flash", with Wallace's story-line and the character's relationships. And the action is good and frantic, not giving the viewer a second of respite. And the ending leaves all open as our heroes get free from the alien's mind control but still need to stop them from... whatever they have come for.

To see all those heroes together with a common threat is lots of fun, and the show overcomes its minor quibbles without much difficulty. With so many cool characters, action and interesting arcs for everyone involved, "Invasion!" does for a lot fun.

After Episode 07 got a solid 10 (by me!), the question is how to live the reputation? Bring an avengers-type assemble so we can feel more about the characters.

Melissa Benoist as Kara was charming and sweet. As Supergirl, she was so saucy and sexy. I was breathless looking at her. She is the perfect choice, though I don't understand how her series is not connecting with the audiences. We finally get that female role model that we have asked for!

The Dominators were created using cutting-edge computer effects to achieve visuals was dazzling!

I created an account after this episode (and yes I know I'm late, but read it to know why).

I am binge watching The Flash on Netflix right now.. I have watched Arrow but because of Netflix I am not caught up.

I live in Europe and depend on Netflix when I watch my shows, buuut Netflix does not have every show and the once they have are not all caught up exept Legends Of Tomorow wich I don't watch because I don't want spoilers from Arrow and Flash (love both shows).

I tried a few (maybe 5) episodes of Supergirl, but that show is not for me... but with this episode of Flash i feel that the creators are trying to force me to watch the other shows.. witch even if I wanted to, I can't cause I don't live in America...

I love cross overs I really do, but like this... to continue it in a whole other show and then another... nope..

So I have to rate this much lower that I would have, if it had an ending or the next episode was on The Flash..
