This is a surprisingly entertaining and memorable film, given that it also might have been a throw-away effort by a film student cramming to finish a capstone project for graduation. I absolutely loved the many references to French existentialism. The film is a celebration of the impenetrable nature of being french, "apres tout". Love'm or hate'm, gotta given the french credit for inventing the blow job. Anyway, what I really want is my own copy ... damn it. I've only seen a crappy VHS tape of a late-night Chicago public access broadcast, and even then the art shone through like a ripe zit on a young physics student's brow. You can't hide greatness like that, babe, even by casting the protagonist as a fat sloppy lazy-ass bastard. What genius! Steve Stein, are you listening!??!? This film is to french existentialism as the 'Lost Skeleton of Cadavra' is to old time science fiction.

So, if you can get a chance, see this flick. It will change your life, unless you are the kind of jerk who orders freedom fries. This film comes with "frites", don't ya know?
