The scene where the apartment is being robbed, had to be completely re-shot after the filmmakers decided the footage was too dark.

Director Travis Landry had someone else in mind for the lead role. When they dropped out, he took it upon himself. He later commented that he was glad he did, because when he wrote the script he imagined himself as the main character.

The finale was originally planned to be shot in a parking garage, but due to permit issues, was relocated.

Shot in 7 days over the course of 2 months.

This film is a great achievement for what it is. This is low to no budget, young passion, filmmaking. True filmmaking is not how well paid and glamorous your actors are. It's not how much money you spend on a camera. What Travis does is the true art of cinema. Just making films with anything at your disposal. Midnight follows a young vigilante with a duality for a normal life. I'm hoping one day we will be able to see a feature form from the desires this creates. I firmly advise you to search his name and this film through Youtube so you can see it for yourselves. This isn't a blockbuster or Hollywood magic. This is an artist forming. The under dog of cinema. Take it for what it is and remember that every great filmmaker had to start somewhere with only his desire to make movies.

"Midnight", this is what filmmaking is all about. 20 year old director Travis Landry has done what few young filmmakers can do. He has accomplished exactly what he set out to do. Make a dark, dreary depiction of an average middle class man going after what he desires, and the complications that come with it. In just 7 minutes, Landry has told a complete story, a story that requires very little dialogue. Yet, a story that tells you all you need to know. Everyone to can relate to the man in this film, nothing comes easy; and everyone knows that. I wish this film would get the exposure it deserves.

*Note* I am reviewing the Directors Cut of this film, Travis Landry has stated himself that THAT is the version of the film he desired to make. He kept the original out there for the sake of at one time, he believed in it. Who can't respect a man like that?
