'Our Identity' follows four young people as they take us on a journey following their identity/roots/cultural background via animation. This simple, captivating short is both educational & informative & provokes an understanding & awareness of the multi-cultural society that we live in today. An effective piece, with voice overs from the four young film makers. The Young people that took part in this project are marginalised young people who wouldnt ordinarily have access to media equipment. During this project they have developed key life skills (working with others, communication, improving own learning and solving problems) and the confidence and skills to make informed choices in their lives. Via this process they have had the opportunity to acquire and practice life skills, understand their social interactions, and the communities they live in.
