There's trouble brewing for the Monroe's and Mapoy clan. Kathleen is scared when Indians visit the cabin. When Mapoy sees the Indians riding away, he demands Clayt and his family to move to his ranch so they can all work together at fighting the Indians.

The problem is deeper than Major Mapoy can know, however. In truth, his own foreman, Sleeve, is the cause of all the trouble. When Clayt learns Sleeve is linked to the trouble, he follows and uncovers a well-kept secret about the nice foreman.

But when things turn sour for them and Sleeve is shot, he brings trouble back into the camp. This trouble, though innocent, may bring major trouble to the Mapoy Ranch and all that are staying there for protection.

The ending of this episode holds a few tense moments as you wonder what happens. I recall a similar episode in Gunsmoke where the returnee didn't fare so well...
