The most picturesque of small water seafaring folk is the bargeman, who takes us on a trip up the canal, through its power-feeding locks and across the beautiful countryland. We see the one mule power service, the freshets, and even the happy boys who choose the canal for their aquatic diversion. They dive in and race as only boys can. Then we join the bargeman again and proceed with him to the end of the busy little canal.
