Теория большого взрыва The Scavenger Vortex (2007–2019) Online

The gang, after rebuking Raj's attempt of a social gathering in the form of a murder mystery dinner party, are surprised that they actually like Raj's latest idea: an intellectual scavenger hunt based on those held at post-secondary institutions. Even Penny likes the idea, but no one, including Leonard, seems to like the idea of being partnered with her, who they see as the liability among the group. Randomly drawing names, Sheldon and Penny are partnered, Leonard and Bernadette are partnered, and Howard and Amy are partnered. In their "hunt", Sheldon and Penny continue their intellectual versus gut instinct approaches to deciphering the clues. Leonard remains focused on how he will make it up to Penny for not wanting to be her partner, while Bernadette shows her killer instinct in game playing. And Howard and Amy, who have not spent much time alone together, try to find if there is anything to their friendship beyond their indirect association through the others in the group. ...
Episode complete credited cast:
Johnny Galecki Johnny Galecki - Leonard Hofstadter
Jim Parsons Jim Parsons - Sheldon Cooper
Kaley Cuoco Kaley Cuoco - Penny
Simon Helberg Simon Helberg - Howard Wolowitz
Kunal Nayyar Kunal Nayyar - Raj Koothrappali
Mayim Bialik Mayim Bialik - Amy Farrah Fowler
Melissa Rauch Melissa Rauch - Bernadette Rostenkowski
Kevin Sussman Kevin Sussman - Stuart Bloom

While riding with Howard, Amy looks through his MP3 player and makes fun of him for listening to Weird Al Yankovic. In reality, Mayim Bialik is actually a huge Weird Al fan.

The map coordinate 34.1516,-118.0767 does point to a bowling alley in reality - Bowlmor Pasadena. It is formerly named "300 Pasadena", the name that appeared at the gate of the bowling alley in the show, and the name that Google Maps labels it.

At the Geology Laboratory, the poster behind the door exhibits the symbol of the band The Rolling Stones, which is exactly the answer to the riddle "leave no stone unturned". Penny, being familiar with popular music, solves this riddle easily; while Sheldon, taking the riddle literally, is totally unaware of the correct answer and chooses to seek under the rock specimens.

It is confirmed that Leonard studied at Princeton University, which was previously implied in The Speckerman Recurrence (S5E11).

Howard and Raj have been to the Tar Pits in The Cornhusker Vortex (S3E06).

Title Reference: The title refers to the scavenger hunt that Raj arranges for the gang.

This episode was taped on September 2, 2013.

Rewatching this episode and seeing the cast interact together throughout it reminded me what episodes in later seasons lack. It's a joy to watch and lands most of its jokes.

In this recent ep of "The Big Bang Theory": Raj was miffed no one went to his mystery party the previous week so he thinks up a scavenger hunt which everybody now wants to participate in. Teams are picked at random by name papers dropped in hat since it seems no one thinks Penny is smart enough to play. Penny ends up with Sheldon, Leonard with Bernadette, and Howard with Amy. Both Penny and Sheldon are great at helping each other while Bern is upset at how slow Leonard is by comparison but Howard and Amy seem to not have much in common...until they both discover a love for Neil Diamond! I'll stop there and just say what a great ep this was! And yay for the new teaming especially that of Howard and Bern, what a great inspiration that turned out to be! So on that note, "The Scavenger Vortex" was another excellent ep of "The Big Bang Theory".

Although i am giving it an 8 on 10.. it is because i cannot assign something like 7.5 or something similar. Don't get me wrong, it had many moments.. But was lacking the finesse which regular watchers of BBT have witnessed in Season 1/2/3.

The pairing was done pretty well and really, this is THE way to bring out the relationships forward on the BBT show. Of late it had been a drag really with less science/comic book quirkiness.

*** SPOILER ALERT *** Lacking: The scene where Raj brings out his 'showmanship', it looked a bit labored. Sure the scene where he coughed on the ninja bomb smoke was hilarious and i appreciate that the writers are getting back to what BBT was, but they are still far from it. But coming back, Howard's reaction was out of place. Penny/Kaley hasn't been very good at expressions, and he reaction needed fine tuning. The part where Bernadette makes up the story could have been more well written, preserving the old flavor of BBT from first 3 seasons.

These guys could have written in the script that the team entering the comic bookshop MUST purchase something from Stewart else entering is forbidden.. Giving Stewart a chance to fleece some good money (so he can have meat this week.. ) Maybe A fight could have been shown between intra/inter team members, with people fighting for articles. The writers did missed few tricks like these, and it's not a lone incident of late.

I can go on and on, but there could have been fine tuning attempt at various places. Good ep, but second viewing makes those glaring errors pop out in 3D.
