Yes, the first episode of "Salem" was terrifying. Salem, Mass, in the 1600's WAS terrifying. According to the history and possibly legend or folklore; doesn't matter. What does is that it is totally entertaining, not to mention mesmerizing. I love the way the show "looks" so natural and real. God, can you imagine how people smelled back then?

Anyhow as a loyal fan of the supernatural, fact, fiction, maybe a little of both, I love this show.

"Salem" producers and such - will you be airing any more seasons of this show? I truly would love to know.

Last, but certainly not least, you go girl, Janet Montgomery, you just go.......

Sincerely,

Tammy L Stanley

Let's start with the fact that I am not American and I know little about the real story. I am also part of a Christian religion. And I want to emphasize something that I read somewhere: this is not the history channel, this is wgn.    But this first episode is simply terrifying, has too many disturbing scenes as ritual in the woods with people with animal heads, a woman going into a trance, an exorcism, a woman possessed walking the streets with a muzzle and many others very well executed scenes . Very disturbing pilot   The characters are good and the acting is convincing. Worth watching at least this episode. And you'll totally want the next episode
