In the original script, Mac was envisioned to be a smoker. During the script reading with the cast, David suggested that he instead have a sucker, as it came off as more unusual.
Roy tells Ben when he's entering his apartment to take off his shoes. This was an improvised line to explain why the characters weren't wearing shoes in the scene, as the carpets had actually just been cleaned.
When Tyler Totten first recieved the script which was originally titled 'Off the Chain' He was immediately attached to the project and was called in to read for Ben and Roy but insisted he was a better fit to take on Ben's character. Tyler was then later cast.
During the scene at Roy's apartment where Ben and Mac are standing in the living room, Ben's line to Mac "So you've been locked up for five minutes and all of a sudden you think you're Pablo Escobar or something?" Was improvised while cameras were rolling. Tyler's reasoning behind the improvisation was to catch Mac played by David Stoker off guard to get a reaction as the delivery was meant to come off as condisenting which was different than the orginal dialogue.
