The "original airdates" of the three episodes are November 11, 1956, August 17, 1969 and March 11, 1973. All three dates were Sundays, a reference to the fact that Perepea (1999) has always been broadcast on Sundays except during its second and third seasons from 1999 to 2002.

Chris goes to Woodstock in the episode dated August 17, 1969. In reality, Woodstock was held from August 15 to August 18, 1969.

Peter's line "to the moon!" and Lois' subsequent rant, is a reference to the sitcom The Honeymooners (1955). While a highly rated comedy during it's time, there were many allusions to domestic violence against women. Some examples include: "POW! Right in the kisser!", "I'm gonna belt her right in the mouth!", "You're a riot, Alice. You're a regular riot. Hope they like those jokes on the moon, 'cause that's where you're goin'."

Robert Reed , who played Mike Brady in the original television run of the The Brady Bunch (1969), was a closeted homosexual, whose proclivities were not revealed till several years after the show ended, died of complications as a result of the AIDS (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome) virus.

Fifth episode to have "Family Guy" in the title the first four being "A Family Guy Freakin Christmas", "Family Guy Viewer Mail #1", "Family Guy Viewer Mail #2" and "Inside Family Guy".

Family Guy's cynical views on shows from the 1950s to the 1970s are spot on. This is why I love this show, cynical, edgy, smart and over the top awesome.

There was about 5 minutes of fresh material they had that they tried to stretch out over a 22 minute episode.

The Raisin Bran bit was good, but this should have been a cutaway or two during an episode, not a whole one. And they didn't even really capture what shows in the 50's, 60's or 70's were like.

The jokes for each segment are essentially: commercials were different in the 50s, people did drugs in the 60s and every Vietnam movie uses the same music. None of these are particularly funny. They have random scenes that scenes that serve no purpose and aren't particularly funny. Episode is just boring.

I hate when black-white screen shows up. It is just impossible to watch. Just annoys me.

This episode has no thought. The jokes don't make any sense. Some jokes are to long. This season has been terrible, but this episode was the cream of the crap!

Personally, I didn't like this episode. Beginning was kind of weird, jokes were not funny, satire as we can call that was on so low level, for example; did anybody laughed while watching that long 1950 ad on TV about rasin something? It was too long, way to long. In case of 1969 part, there were no jokes at all! The only good part was about Quagmire and Vietnam, it was interesting, catchy, I really wanted to see what will happen next, and that's why i rated it 4/10.

Oh my god, I have never been this bored. First part was just boring and no jokes at all. And the 1969, just lame jokes to drag out the time. Only good joke was the fortunate son aka Vietnam. But to waste 15 minutes to get to that joke? Not worth it. They should've just made the whole episode about Vietnam and Quagmire.

And nope such a disappointment to see this episode, one of the worst episode they done and last weeks that were the best. Shame on you Seth !

Peter: "Lets head down to the airfield and give our soldiers the respect they deserve!" ...Griffin family all spit in the face of Quagmire while he's in uniform.

The respect they *deserve*?!

Coupled with the pathetic stolen valor episode two weeks ago ("Veteran Guy"), I'm wondering if there's a message of personal contempt for the US military by the writers...?

Some episodes are genius, these two are disrespectful and pathetic.
