This twenty-two minute featurette from Shout Factory! features interviews with special effects creators Richard Edlund, Screaming Mad George and Steve Johnson as they discuss their work on POLTERGEIST II. The three of them talk about getting hired for the film and then the majority of the running time is on the actual special effects. If you're a fan of the film then you'll certainly love this as all three men tell some great stories about their work on the picture. We get to learn a lot about the special effects including the brain-storming before production, how they were pulled off and we also hear about a few changes that had to be made. The braces sequence gets a good bit of detail on how it was done and we also get to see some early designs that were later added to the film. If you're a young person interested in learning how special effects are done then you'll really want to watch this since so much is discussed and shared.
