Being Erica Dr. Tom (2009–2011) Online

Thirty-two year old Erica Strange is bright, educated and pretty, but she's had a bad life, self admittedly due to the many bad decisions she's made over her adult life. On the day that she meets self-proclaimed therapist Dr. Tom in the hospital, Erica has had the latest in a string of bad days: she gets fired from her dead end customer service job at an insurance agency for being too bright; she gets dumped by her latest boyfriend who she met over the Internet; and she gets hospitalized for drinking a specialty coffee containing nuts, she being deathly allergic to nuts. Feeling overwhelmed by the pity showed by her family, Erica decides on a whim to enlist the help of Dr. Tom, who guarantees he can fix all her problems if she commits to his service. Unbeknownst to Erica, Dr. Tom is not quite who he appears. Erica provides Dr. Tom with a long list of those bad decisions which she most regrets, those she terms as keeping her awake at night. When the episode started I thought I will not like it because it seemed to present being single in the early 30's as some sort of failure, and because the cat lady stereotype is annoying and unfair to cats. But as it went on I started liking it because besides what I mentioned there is nothing bad about the show.

The whole idea of having Erika go back in time and relieve her bad days is pretty interesting. I am a bit younger than her but it was fun to see school days in the 90's. The music that was played at their dance, clothes and getting so incredibly drunk in the bathroom...Memories!

I like how they went through he past experience and how it changed her. I hope this show will be as good as it has the potential to be

Another story about our fears, about our mistakes and feels. There is nothing real interesting in the first episode. The serial is similar to a film "Back in the future", only without Michael J. Fox's charm. I would like to note some positive moments in the pilot episode: the beautiful actress in a leading role, the charismatic actor as Tom, disposal from bothered "paradoxes of time".

Not the most successful serial though, maybe, script writers will manage to make of it something decent. Probably, I too strongly criticize a serial, having looked only one episode - and it is not absolutely correct. But also it seems to me, what the pilot episode should be breathtaking, whether not so?
