A second unit cameraman who wore strange black glasses with tiny perforated holes showed up to film the great freighter sequence. It was not until some months later during editing that it was discovered the cameraman was in fact blind. Upon confrontation he admitted it and apologized. It was an editing nightmare to overcome his many out of focus shots.
