Air Force test pilot captain Robert Holland made a fatal fall in a prototype wing-suit. However his corpse was moved to the desert and he was dying from a brain condition anyway. The team soon realizes being lied to by the widow, who knew of his infidelity, his military project manager USAF major Bernard Mills and two-faced wing-suit company executive Claudia Mason, who encouraged after-hours (ab)use of the prototype. Holland's colleague Jack Ferris suffers a gruesome death during his revealing interrogation, which lead to more secrets to be tied in.

This was one of those episodes that makes me remember why I like CSI. Clues that appear from nothing, wrong conclusions, a big corporation conspiring or maybe just a small and as simple as a couple fight. But, like in many other cases, the writers get so worried about enjoy the viewers all the time (and they succeeded as you can see by my rating) that at some point, on the final minutes, everything gets too fast. The hidden criminal suddenly decides to reveal all the points, all the clues, even those the CSI had zero idea about. Maybe that's the price, I don't know. But sometimes that makes me feel that the CSI aren't that good or that this is a lazy maneuver from the writers to end the episode quickly.

This is not a plot summary It is however a issue of wrong terms: Four times in the show they refer to a chamber used to simulate high altitude for the pilot training. All four times it was called a "HYPERBARIC" chamber, Wrong! Hyper means greater or above. Baric for barometric or atmospheric pressure. this chamber is often used for underwater divers to who ascend too quickly or otherwise might decompression sickness by simulating the increased pressure of diving.

For high altitude training as referenced in the show, pilots use a "HYPOBARIC" chamber aka an altitude chamber Hypo for below. In this case simulating the low pressure found at high altitudes of flight, mount climbing etc. For a show that tries to have some science, they need to try harder.
