A simple monitor behind a stage can change your life. And it can set the seal on your further professional career. At least, that is what happened to Italian born, world-renowned conductor Enrique Mazzola who has nearly seen every important opera house or stage from the inside (National Orchestra in Paris, MET Opera in New York, the London Proms, etc.) and who has worked with a large number of today's pathbreaking singers. The short film deals with the one significant moment in Enrique Mazzola's childhood that made him choose to become a conductor. All started behind the stage of 'La Scala' in Milan as a seven year old child. Enrique Mazzola had been selected for a soloist part for an opera conducted by Claudio Abbado. Unfortunately his singing part was at the very end of the music piece.
