Jenin Yoman Miluim (2002) Online

One thing you don't often see in documentaries about war is a neutral position of the movie. Some fact before I'll review this:

On march 27 2002, the evening of the Jewish Passover, a suicide bomber killed 30 of the visitors of the Park hotel in Netania that were celebrating Passover. Several days later Israel started and assault on the Palestinian city of Jenin. After the aftermath of the fighting, the Palestinians claimed that there was a massacre in Jenin and about 500 people were killed. This was show in the Palestinian movie "Jenin Jenin" by Mohammed Bakri. The movie was a clear anti Israeli propaganda.

In this movie you'll get the facts straight. The creator of this movie shows the suffering of both sides and proves that there was no massacre in Jenin. In one of the scenes you'll see a Palestinian man telling a journalist that he delivered his wife's baby in the car while driving, because the Israelis didn't let him to go to the hospital. 10 minutes before that and off camera you see the journalist briefing the man and his wife about what he should say to camera and it differs from what really happened. The soldiers did stop the car, but they only stopped the man and let the wife go to the hospital. In another scene a doctor says that a Tank shot 12 shells on his hospital and he even shows small marks outside the hospital that supposed to be the holes made by the shells. A moment later an expert says that if even one shell would hit that building it wouldn't survive the hit.

The movie is nicely done, not taking one side or another. It really shows you the human tragedy in this war and the suffering on both sides.

I give this movie a 10/10.
