Foster dancing in the first scene was improvised. The cam op just happened to get it on camera.
When the character of Milo seems to stumble over his words while talking to Sophie, that is actually the actor messing up his lines. It fit so well that it made the final cut.
The gun used was a prop gun that the school's prop department owned.
The improvisation between Alan, Owen, and Rex was scripted.
Rex's lines were originally supposed to go to Jimmy, but after Jimmy requested to be written out, they went to Rex.
