The prosthetic arm used on the bathroom dismemberment scene was cast from the prop makers own arm. She included a number of gruesome details, including a missing fingernail.
The missing fingernail on the dismembered prop arm inspired the name of Alasdair McWilliams' and Andrew Cant's production company: Fingernail Films.
The corpse prop used in the bathroom dismemberment scene was christened Artemis.
The love-heart bloodstain on Toby/Kevin's t-shirt in the final scene was unintentional, and was created by the crossing jets of blood that were sprayed during the bathroom dismemberment scene.. The director, David Winter, felt it nicely encapsulated Marion and Kevin's relationship, and loved it so much he made sure the t-shirt was kept in for the final scene.
