Mettetal Airport: The Jewel of Canton and Plymouth (2015) Online
A short historical documentary about Mettetal Airport located in Western Wayne County, Michigan. Rare archival photos feature Michigan Governor G. Mennen Williams landing at the airport in 1956. The history features Robert Mettetal and how he contributed to the growth of the area after World War II. Today, besides recreational flying, the airport is vital to the economic growth of the Canton-Plymouth-Northville areas and is a strong contributing factor to the education of area S.T.E.M. students. The airport is poised for the future and hopes to develop a passion for future aviators, airmen, flight crews and aviation related careers.

Mettetal Airport started out as a grass strip to support crop dusters in the 1920's. These bi-planes supported the farmers of a pea patch and the famous Canton corn fields in the area.
