Director Gianluca Minucci is a huge fan of Brian de Palma's thrillers as well as film noir and silent film genres. This is not surprising, as Brian de Palma himself mastered the art of the shower scene in almost all of his thrillers. That influence is evident in Minucci's sensual short "The Shower" (2012). Director of Photography, Giancarlo Lancioni, aided in crafting The Shower's sumptuous images, along with film editor Ian Degrassi ("Il Clan Dei Comorristi" TV series) cutting skills. Cinematographer Lancioni had previously used his talent to film "Sotto il mio Giardino," an Italian Golden Globe winning short.
