Dr. Cox threatens Dr. Norris (Christopher Meloni) by kidnapping his puppet and sending the hand in a box. Meloni was in the HBO series Oz, a prision drama which featured a plotline in its 4th season about one character kidnapping another prisoner's children and mailing the son's hand back to the father.
