What a wonderful fantasy tale, this one showing Dick Powell, a big executive who, after a big car crash, is in waiting to die and realizes that he is in care of strange hosts. They propose him to make a choice, to go ahead and accomplish a task, save one out of three people about to die in L.A. So that his fate will be maybe different. You have understood that it's not a dark or depressing tale here, but rather a sort of comedy in the Preston Sturges or Ernst Lubitsch's films scheme. A show for the whole family at supper time. I know, the title suggests something else than this cool story. Not bad for me. Dick Powell has the main role here and is very good at it. Exquisite ending...
