A woman puts a gun to her head when everything in her life falls apart after losing her job.

On the day of shooting the solicitation scene with R. Michael David, the cast and crew took an early lunch having completed shooting on the campus of Pasadena City College without notifying Michael. Half way into lunch Michael called from the closed street shooting location on the opposite side of town thinking he was at the wrong location. Everyone was having such a great time over an extended lunch break, they had forgotten about Michael's call time.

A custodian at Pasadena City College called campus police during our first day of shooting of the first scene. The officers followed the crew from location to location occasionally delaying production until their primary officer was able to clear the shoot with the proper campus authorities. Our assistant director became very annoyed while trying to keep the production on schedule.

Shooting was delayed at our closed street shooting location for an entire hour due to the vehicle appearing in the film needing a car wash, and the charged camera batteries being left charging on the opposite side of town near the previous shooting location.

Co-lead actress Hanne Roberts made her first film appearance in She Lives Desperate before relocating to Norway.

There were two releases of the She Lives Desperate Film. The first version was released in September 2010 and submitted to the Audience Choice Award. The second version was released in October 2011 and premiered in an exclusive private screening on Facebook to 360 viewers, followed the same week with a public debut screening at the Fuller Block Party, Film Makers Lounge in Pasadena, California.

Starring actress, Mariana Campos - aka MINA, and Director Randall Gorden, originally met during the production of The Ballad of Buck Trucker, and later worked together on Nannyland (both directed by Jose Prendes). Buck Trucker premiered at Paramount Studios in August of 2011 and was written and produced by Brian Larrabee and Zoe McLellan.

R. Michael David aka the Rapist/Solicitor, and Director Randall Gorden, originally met during the production of a film called Under Cover Addicts (PCC Film Festival 2010) by Director, Liza Beltran. Michael had the perfect look for the rapist and was able to do his own stunt work on She Lives Desperate. Michael has since appeared several times on the television series CSI: Crime Scene Investigation and almost appeared in the movie Thor, until his scene was deleted.
