Things are going good for Jason, but not so good for Stads. He auditions for a coffeehouse gig and gets it; she is passed over for a promotion and is fired when she complains about it. To make her feel even worse, her hair dryer was responsible for an apartment fire. Stads comes by the Collins house feeling much better because she's decided to go to work in Europe for a year.
