Die Texas Rangers Outlaw Town (1949–1957) Online

Jim Andrews holds up the Wells Fargo office and steals a specific amount of money (5,000.00). He needs the money to enter "Outlaw Town" a safe haven for outlaws who can pay the equivalent of the price on their head. The Lone Ranger decides to infiltrate the town and find out who is behind the operation. Along the way the Lone Ranger discovers Jim Andrews's real motives for his actions.

Outlaw towns weren't unheard of in the television westerns. We've seen them in shows like The Rifleman, Rawhide, and Gunsmoke. Now we see one here. The whole thing starts with a young man robbing the express office of just $5000 - no more, and no less! Come to find out, it's the price he has to pay to get into Outlaw Town and the protection it can give. But there's a woman in town (the wife of the boss there) who is saddened that such a young man had to come.

The Lone Ranger and Tonto again are able to do the impossible. By using trickery and undercover work, they are able to get into the town and devise a plan.

These shows are so simplistic and not my favorite, but it's still nice to watch them and see just how far television came. I think the later fifties and early sixties made the best westerns. I don't like these enough to buy the DVD's, but they are worth watching on You tube only once...
