What kills me is they advertised that the men were also anxious to get married--and they all couldn't seem less interested! I also heard that a year or so after the show, Brent and Sissie broke up. I wonder what happened with the other people.

It was an interesting show, however, much better than the bachelor and all those other "love" realty shows.

I loved that they showed a lot of Alaska, it was better than the beach and swimsuit realty shows.

However, the way they ended it, having the women in bridal gowns was rather tacky and Dickonsonian (Miss Havisham)

What gets me is how attractive so many of the women were. Why did they have to go to Alaska? I wouldn't really call the guys losers - there really aren't that many single women in the parts of Alaska where men can still make big money out of the wilderness. I couldn't blame them for taking advantage of an opportunity.

I get the feeling either the women either had a frontiersman fantasy or they just wanted to get on television. Some of these reality show "stars" have made a cottage industry out of their "celebrity" and done fairly well. It just shows that love/sex and money are still the biggest motivators in the world. It's sad when you think about it.

Sick and wrong. Pathetic desperate women hook up with losers from Alaska. What's next? Looking for Love: Mail-order brides from Japan?

Why even bother with the marriage angle? From the looks of it, all they want to do is shack up. Fox needs to pull the plug on proposal point and rename it "lets shack up for a couple of episodes" point. Anyone who likes this show, please defend it. I could use a few laughs!
