In the parallel universe, Brandon isolates Olivia's DNA from Henry's blood and uses it to activate the doomsday machine. The effect is destruction in several areas in our universe. Olivia tries to bring Peter to her universe to stop Walternate but she fails. Meanwhile Peter convinces Walter that he might be capable to turn off the machine and he does not succeed in his intent.

"6:02 AM EST" is another intriguing episode of "Fringe" now that the doomsday machine has been activated. What will happen to both universes? What will Sam Weiss do? What has happened to Peter? Looking forward to see the next episode. My vote is eight.

We are toeing the line here people. Four points stick out as not only unnecessary but largely unscientific, and perpetrated by scientists. First is Fauxlivia's bucking of the chain of command to break in and steal a way to come to our side to... what? Talk with Peter and get him to come back and visit the enemy camp to convince his father who may or may not be tinkering with an unknown artifact to stop doing that? I had trouble following that line of reasoning, particularly from a highly trained soldier. Our Fringe team's overly dramatic response to an unusual event was over the top too. "Well, let's hook up Peter to this machine. Sure we don't know what it will really do but we've had a fair warning that it might end the universe as we know it BUT, hey, 500 sheep did disappear this morning so that's a gamble we're willing to take. He might be able to switch it off." Then there was Nina's confession to Olivia about Sam. Apparently she's known since before Bell went missing that he was the key to the whole thing, and yet even so she only consulted him a handful of times. And he turned off his phone! Oh no, we can't track him, even though we have billions of dollars and all this state of the art equipment. But what really irked me was Walter's sudden conversion to Judeo Christian beliefs. It would have been more fitting for him to confess to a person than to God. I get his confession and plea to a greater being but the placement in the story was a bit weird, particularly to a specific deity, considering he hasn't shown any structured belief up until now.

Man! I Feel Like a Woman! Shania Twain's music video came out from nowhere in my mind while I was thinking about the weekly Walter Bishop show. John Noble is 62 years old but definitely the sexiest man on Earth ! The perfect man, in the perfect outfit. You have to see it to believe in ! But of course this 20th installment wasn't about the Fatale attraction Olivia surely has for Peter's father. Mr Walter is a running gag but is well balanced by Dr Bishop. Noble's performance was brilliant as usual. From his toast with Peter to the chapel sequence he should move you like never before. These scenes were also mesmerized by the fact he is so different from Walternate. Good or evil ? Such a Manichaean question doesn't even make sense when it comes to Fringe because things, like real ones, are not just all black or white.

The two past episodes about William Bell and the soul magnets experiment didn't really catch my attention. Anna Torv's impersonation was quite surprising but I just found the paranormal elements misplaced even if Fringe's universe has apparently no boundaries. The only thing I was expecting was the comeback of the good old switches between the prime and parallel worlds. It was so good to have Fauxlivia back ! Don't get me wrong Olivia and Peter make a sweet couple and their morning moment was adorable but it seems like Torv takes more pleasure to act as a redhead. From her personality to her alternative journey I think she just eclipses her prime self.

As for the story, it took six episodes to finally get back on track. From 6B to 6:02 AM EST. The end of the world we all expected finally began ! It almost felt like following a The X-Files adventure. From enigmatic flashes to apocalyptic events it had all the ingredients featured before Dana Scully and Fox Mulder arrived on the scene to investigate. However the red and blue dance reduced the writers window to properly cover both arcs. Otherwise two episodes remain so in the end it wasn't that frustrating. To tell the truth writing about it makes me realize they made the right decision. What would be the point of rushing things or serving us with an other freak of the week dose ? I hate when they decide to wrap up a season at the very end. This episode raised many questions and knowing we will soon get answers is both exciting and satisfying. Peter's part was intense so what will happen next ? Can both worlds coexist ? Would you marry Olivia or Fauxlivia ? The clock is timing, stay tuned…

At 6:02am, Walternate uses Henry Bishop's blood to make the Machine think Peter is inside. This is the Beginning of The Day We Died. But over here on this side, Fringe Division has no idea he has done this.

The Universes start to shatter. Some Fieldhands witness their sheep being swallowed up into a Vortex, and some of their men with it.

Vortexes are appearing all over, and Sam Weiss has vanished - After he sees two bowling balls start clicking together. He uses one of those "Perpetual Motion" machines with the Balls that hit on either end, and they are propelling themselves.

The day Walter feared has arrived, and he asks Nina for all of the documentation about Amber from the Season One episode "The Ghost Network"

Massive Dynamic starts making Amber Containment Units as fast as they can, but only have enough material to make about eight of them. The Elements are Rare.

So it comes down to this: It is time for Peter to Get into the Machine, "The Vacuum". The problem is, The Machine is already turned on. But Peter has to try anyway.

When Peter gently touches the machine, it kicks his Arse 50 feet back to the floor and gives Peter a severe head injury.

And the World is Falling Apart. Sam Weiss cannot be found, he has cleared out his apartment, he is nowhere to be seen - Until he finds Olivia.

Little did we know, Olivia is also intrinsically connected to "The Vacuum". And the Man of the Hour is The Last Sam Weiss.
