Nemoc (2005) Online
Nemoc, which means "sickness" or "disease" in Czech, is a highly disturbing look at the mind of a schizophrenic child, following his wild, jumbled thoughts through the six minutes before he kills himself. To change the way people see him, the young boy beats himself up and tears his clothes to shreds, then takes a stroll through Prague's tourist mecca of Old Town Square. This chaotic sequence of self abuse inter-cuts with the quiet hilltop of Radlicka and the cemetery below it, as the troubled boy argues with his guilt-stricken half, manifesting itself in the form of his dead best friend. An intensely dark but visually stunning film, Nemoc is not for the faint of heart.
