The scene where Skeletor falls into a bottomless pit filled with water and later emerges and says "Some days. Nothing goes to right!", was done as a nod to the film Masters of the Universe (1987) which Skeletor fell into a bottomless pit filled with red water beneath Castle Grayskull, after the final battle with He-Man and after the end credits, Skeletor popped his head out of the water and said "I'll be back!!".
