As Britta is being dragged into Annie's room, the last insult she shrieks is "You're the opposites of Batman!" To which Troy replies, "You don't know what that means!" In the season premiere, "Biology 101," after Britta "broke" Abed, Troy told her, "You are human tennis elbow. You are a pizza burn on the roof of the world's mouth. You are the opposite of Batman!"

Wilhelm Scream: Just before Annie grabs Britta's phone to see what Troy texted, a Wilhelm can be heard coming from the movie they are watching.

At the end of the episode Abed is doing some stand up comedy and Troy mentions that a part of the act is "a reference to his album" this is a reference to the actor Donald Glover who is also a rapper named Childish Gambino and a stand-up comic (who in his show Weirdo references his album Camp several times).

During the flurry of texts sent by Britta to her ex-boyfriend Blade she asks him if he wants to meet their two year old.

Annie wins. Besides the obvious wardrobe distractions this episode doesn't really go anywhere or do anything. Another lame Britta boyfriend. Another movie night in the Batcave. More cell phone hijinks. And a poorly tacked-on attempt to revitalize the air conditioning school story.

The carnival set felt really cheap too. Things like that make me worry that the budget is getting too tight to continue making good shows. Some of the earlier seasons' commentaries talk about overspending in one place only to have to make it up in another but this doesn't seem like the scenario where going cheap is the best plan overall.
