Humorist Gahan Wilson sits down for a 22-minute interview where he talks about his influences and why he does what he does. We start off with Wilson talking about his connection to the darkness and why he would beg his father to take him to the circus and see the freaks. For Wilson these freaks were brave and had a certain type of spirit that he was attracted to. He talks about how he gets ideas for his work and says that he mainly just has to look at the first page of the newspaper or the first minute of a news broadcast. Wilson also talks about why he can't stand people who try to find good in everything. In other words, people who meet someone horrible yet say good things about him. People who go out on an ugly day and say it's a good day just to be nice. There are some pretty interesting ideas given off and there's no question that by the end of the interview you're going to feel as if you understand Wilson and can see why he writes the way that he does.
