Twisted humorous zombie flick. That's really all you need to know. Lots of B-Grade zombie stuff that when cooked up just right comes out better than expected. This is kind of like taking Office Space style workplace lampooning to a much more ridiculous level. Brenton Thwites as the young office slacker hits it long here. It moves pretty quickly past the usual setup of merging with that magic downsizing. Just a stupid romp that ends up scoring. Also worth noting: the talented Zachary Levi gets his screen time to show how whack he can reach playing control obsessive accountant A Nusbaum gone power mad.

This film tells story of an office worker for a weapons manufacturer, whose co-workers are turned into zombies by an energy drink.

The film actually starts out not too bad and quite funny. However once the horror/zombie bit comes in, it falls apart. The horror effects are good. Plenty of blood and gore but it gets a bit dull. Some of the effects are pretty poor. The jokes fall flat. There is little action. Its not really that scary or gory.

Although it was well acted, I had no connection to the characters. I really didn't care by the end what happened to them.

It is a shame as there is some great acting and the first bit of the film shows promise. It would probably been better if it had been kept as a straight office comedy rather than trying to make it a horror.

Office Uprising is very well crafted with lots of laughs from beginning to end. The storyline was sufficient, and supported the laughs as it kept building. The action, characters and humor were on point.

We really enjoyed this film. It wasn't all just gore and action like other zombie movies it had a few plot twists and turns that kept me interested. A fun watch with your friends and family for sure. It got funnier and better as the movie went on.

Office Uprising is an action horror comedy about Desmond, a slacker who works at Ammotech, the world's leading weapons manufacturing company. When Zolt, a popular energy drink, is released to the office and turns his coworkers into violent savages Desmond must rescue his true love and get out of the building alive. I found the performances to be well-done, Karan Soni does a good job as the "sidekick" role, Jane Levy is great bouncing back from human to zombie, and Zachary Levi is obviously having the time of his life playing Adam Nussbaum, the main antagonist, a man with power and an accent to boot. The jokes are also well done, and even the ones that don't work can be forgiven because you know a good one's right up the corner. That said, when the film tried to be serious it came off as forced, and some of the effects are far from special. All in all, Office Uprising may not be an oscar contender, but it's still a fun ride worth a watch.

This script covers everything, the gun lobby/arms industry, sexism, racism, religious intolerance, corporate dishonesty, nothing escapes the spotlight. Plus our main character takes ownership of his own irresponsibility and steps up to the plate, so it has a proper moral imperative as well. If you don't see that, look again.

REVIEW - OFFICE UPRISING

A while ago a zombie comedy was released called Sean of the Dead and this British film with it's comedic twist on the genre took the world by storm, unfortunately personally I didn't think the film was that funny but I'm glad to say this film is.

Genuine laugh out loud film with an excellent cast especially the Taxi driver from Deadpool, actually a must watch for this reason alone!

Silly, bloody, violent fun, not really a zombie film but close.

In every office environment there are colleagues who grate you, so imagine loosing your cool and just letting loose, telling them exactly how you feel about them, this film is exactly that and more, from the aggressive sales team, to the back stabbing human resources and of course the dictator manager.

Perfect film for a couple of hours to waste, grab your drink of choice (as long as its not called Zult), have a big bag of popcorn on standby and just laugh, again especially at the Taxi driver from Deadpool!!!!!!!

It started out good, there were a number of funny scenes like the old lady, and the deadpool guy cracked me up in lotta scenes, ie. "war face", I actually laughed pretty hard at that part. The chemistry with the leads was good as well. Mabye I was expecting way more but It's one of those films that's good to watch when you're bored

I don't understand the negative reviews , the movie offers exactly what it promises. Definitely inspired by movies like Shaun of the Dead but in no means does it become unoriginal. There is actually some great editing in here as well as plenty of funny moments and well written dialogue and acting.

I recommend it.

Desmond (Brenton Thwaites) works in accounting for Ammotech Weapons who are undergoing a merger. He is far from a model employee. His childhood friend Sammi (Jane Levy) also works there.

He comes to work, late as usual, and misses the passing out of the "Zolt" drink which increases aggression for soldiers. However things have escalated to the point it is an office free for all of killing. The bulk of the film is Desmond, Sammi and a friend or two trying to escape a building of "zombie mutant psychos"

The film was amusing, but not LOL funny. Jane Levy is an Emma Stone clone and it is great to see her in the horror/action.comedy B movie genre. If you like the genre, there is also "Bloodsucking Bosses" or "The Belko Experiment." Make it a triple feature.

Dull, predictable and no real story or character development to speak of. I'm left doubting IMDB ratings. Sure people have different taste.....but 7.3/10 ? No way !!! I've never left a review before but felt the need to sign up just to question this implausible rating.

Really dont understand the high rating for this one, not a very good film. I can see the lead staring in other movies but that's about it, a complete waste of time and a disappointment. Sure it could have been done better.

This is a pointless, talentless piece of manure. I can't believe, that 2000+ people voted this a 9 or 10 while there are almost no other ratings. IMDB, get your act together and do something about this or you will lose all credibility that's left and slide into obscurity.

We need to insert -10 in this overrated IMDB where can families, neighbors and friend can stamp 10 to this terrible boring movie, first is not comedy is a terrible horrible solo act, seems like the jobless actors where out of the films or where looking for a job in any vhs video home, just layoff actors, well i dont see any actors, first half hour i can not smile, nothing no comedy, no laugh, nothing...terrible movie. dont waste time download this terrible movie, bad movie, for sure all the fake good reviews are from the same farm families, friend and neighbors of the people who work in this horrible vhs video home. I find this movie entertaining and satisfying. Don't know what people complaining about, it's not about the plot ... it is about coworkers killing each other ???? which is like .. you know funny

Meant to be a bit tongue in cheek, a bit Shaun of the Dead I think. Trouble is it just isn't funny. I laughed once. Think it's trying for British humour but tries too hard. Dunno. We watched it, but it could've been way better.

This movie was really quite good... funny in a office politics sort of way but not tedious like The Office.

Storyline was a little predictable but if your looking for a whole lot of blood, action, and some fun this is worth your time.

I just don't get the SOTD references, this movie has no resemblence to it (or any other zombie movie) whatsoever. First off there are no 'zombies' in this film - no flesh eating of any kind. More like they are driven to extreme violence by some minor irritation, as evidenced by the bipolar reactions of Samantha. A much better reference for Office Uprising is the 2016 film The Belko Experiment. Although published filming locations differ (Alabama for this, Bogota for Belko) it's obvious both movies appear to be filmed in the same building with sealing shutters. The scenarios are completely different but unfold in a similar matter. One seriously the other humourously. I gave this an 8 because there were some genuinely funny lines and scenes, acting was good but mainly everyone knows a douchebag like Nusbaum at work and the HR women are spot-on. A great night would be watching both - Belko first then Office.

I wish it wasn't so. This was an awful movie and I love virus, zombie and crap released in drinking fluid stuff. Some Actors you will recognize. Can't fault the acting, they did what they could. Fault the writing and directing. Worse than a school production I'm sad to say. I love virus zombie fluid stuff outbreaks but this, this was a waste of time and it pains me to say so. Not funny, no great gore, story unoriginal perhaps stupidly explained and I wanted to like it! The one thing I will say is the actors tried their best. Wearing my sad face on this one.

Uses parts of Zombieland, Office Space and a couple of others but lacks the whit, charm...and more importantly comedy of them all.

Not a bad movie, the story gets bit here and there but overall it was put together well. The editing and action scenes were flawless though.

Jokes so bad the punchline feels like it's missing a laugh track. I lasted a whole 10 minutes before realizing any more time spent watching this would be spent better doing anything else. It might get better later in the movie, I wouldn't know.

A great and entertaining way to kill 1.5 hours. The leads are likeable and well acted. Zac Levi enjoys the heck out of playing the villian. Enjoyed it immensely.

Office Uprising is a fun zombie flick, not necessarily well made, based on lack of good acters, but they make that up with good script and direction.
