Recovering from a car crash that has taken the life of his wife and left him in a wheelchair, a retired college professor (Jack) checks into a hotel, suffering from depression. One day, he receives a note under his door from the lady in the next room, stating that she has seen him around the hotel and inviting him to get to know her better. A flirtatious correspondence ensues, ending in an invitation to diner. Is Jill the one to return hope to the heart of this broken man?
