According to the announcer (Jack Bauer) the action takes place between 2:34 pm and 3:04 pm.

This episode has no couch gag. Instead, it has a "Previously on The Simpsons" montage with never-before-seen-stuff because it does not fit in with any other episodes.

Jimbo Jones cellphone's ring-tone is the theme to the movie and TV show "The Odd Couple".

What makes this episode so special is that it's 100% pure parody without a hint of getting serious with current themes or teaching a lesson like in so many other episodes. "24 Minutes" is not only an excellent parody of the TV-series 24 but also includes some clever jokes about the Simpsons universe which make any viewer appreciate this episode as a traditional Simpsons episode, too.

The Simpsons has kept on going for almost 20 years and even the most loyal fans can probably agree there were times that the quality of episodes was going downhill. While it's unlikely they'll make more episodes as daringly different as this one, what "24 Minutes" proves is that the writers still can come up with fresh ideas and jokes and even have the courage to break loose from the format that has kept the show on the air all these years.

I'm glad that the Simpsons have great ideas of episodes, and their idea for 24 Minutes was out standing. It lets me look forward to season 19 because it will also be very good. Hilarious jokes are spawned throughout the episode including guest staring by two 24 stars. Also, just because a show is popular doesn't mean that it can't be spoofed. I loved how they did the split screens and the jokes. Also, it offers some suspense to if Bart will do his mission.

It's not necessary for the new episodes of the Simpsons to be bombed. They are perfectly fine. They are getting much better at making episodes and spoofing other shows and movies. The Simpsons remain the best TV series in American history. Can't wait for the movie.

This episode sucked. It just seemed like a lame way to cross-promote another Fox show. Why don't they just crowbar in Family Guy while they're at it. There were a few funny snipets here and there but overall I was not impressed. Fans of 24 will probably like this one but true Simpsons fans will be disappointed. Jack's stupid "AM PM" joke in the beginning was soooo stupid it made me want to throw up. Fans of this episode I would guess are not typical fans of the Simpsons in general. The Simpsons need to bring someone like David X. Cohen to the show 'cause these new writers are not making it happen. You can do better Simpsons!!!
