I too was reminded of CREATURE COMFORTS where an interviewer asks a whole host of diverse animated characters what they would want if they had one wish in the world . If you're expecting any profound levels of existentialism then you're going to be very disappointed because WISH LIST is played for irreverence , surrealism and absurdity . This is a slight problem because while CREATURE COMFORTS might be able to get away with some weak gags the Claymation stop frame animation papers over any weakness while here the animation is very basic . There might be a positive train of thought to all this . One that if you're not impressed with one of the characters then there might be one coming along shortly that will hold your interest . Unfortunately for me I wasn't impressed by any of the characters and I didn't find any of it as interesting or amusing as it could have been . That said it's three minutes long so didn't find it was a complete waste of time due to its short length

This film starts with a simple question – you have one wish, what do you wish for – and from here we go through a range of characters to hear their choice. The style of the contributions are done much like those of Creature Comforts, where interviews with real people were put into the mouths of animated characters, but actually this short works the other way round. The short comes from a series of drawings from Garrett which the short film then animates (slightly) with some changes and additions and generally matches the illustrations near perfectly.

What we get as a result is a very funny few minutes where the laughs come very quickly as each character only gets a few seconds to deliver their line (or word) before moving on. One or two of them maybe don't work as well as others but the standard is high and the pace means that everything is moving past very quickly, so nothing stays long and repeat viewings are a must. Even though the delivery is very quick, the comic timing is excellent and I liked very much that the obvious end point ("everything") was shunned in favor of a much slighter and slower conclusion which took time to callback to earlier.
