Perry's guests for his tenth season opener are Ginger Rogers, George Sanders and Lou Carter. Highlights: Perry opens the show with the Ray Charles Singers and Louis DaPron dancers in a production of "Hallelujah". Ginger tries to teach Perry the mambo and they duet on "Who's Got the Pain?" from Damn Yankees. George Sanders plays the piano and sings. Vocalist, composer, comedian, taxi driver Lou Carter sings one of his original songs "Selfish". Narrator Frank Gallop decides that he too should relax this season and leaves an assistant Gym (feminine for Jim) to help him with the station breaks. Perry sings "Around the World" and "Honeycomb". A medley from his newly recorded "We Get Letters" album, Perry and the singers conclude with "Whither Thou Goest".
