This movie's shooting ended up being quite long for Mexican standards due to the fact that was filmed just during weekends. The rest of the week the main actors fulfilled previous commitments while the production was writing the script and looking for locations.
The scene where Patricia Pereyra's character emerges from a water deposit, was made in only one take just because the man in charge of that location (completely unrelated to the production), said his workday had ended and he was leaving and shutting down the power.
The sequence in the train yard near the end of the movie was made in just half day inside Mexico City's central train station. That station is now closed and about to became Mexico's largest public library.
