A group of five mountaineers are hiking and climbing in the Scottish Highlands when they discover a young Serbian girl buried in a small chamber in the wilderness. They become caught up in a terrifying game of cat and mouse with the kidnappers as they try to get the girl to safety.

While filming one of the mountain climbing scenes, a boulder came crashing down, almost landing on the crew below.
While scouting locations for the film, the Gilbey brothers used head cameras while climbing and exploring various locations. These videos appear in the end credits of the film to look like "home movies" of the films climbing group.
Director Julian Gilbey and brother Will who co-wrote the script became avid and experienced climbers to make this film.
The festival which takes place in the village is based on an actual event known as the Stonehaven Fireball Festival. It's an annual ritual drama, held on December 31st in the Aberdeenshire town of Stonehaven.
When the climbers point out the 'Golden Eagle'. It is in fact a Harris Hawk.
Franka Potente was originally cast as Alison, but was eventually replaced by Melissa George.
The village of "Anoch Mor" is actually Dingwall which is North of Inverness, the policeman says "I'm just gonna take you UP to Inverness Central police station." That is geographically incorrect. It should be "DOWN to Inverness".
