Joey Joey and the Valentine's Date (2004–2006) Online

Joey has a good photo shoot for People Magazine, but Bobby warns him that Judy, the journalist who will write the accompanying article after an interview, is single but bright: he must charm her. No problem, Judy even asks him for a dinner date, he agrees to next day- before realizing that's Valentine's Day, both the wrong message and a golden opportunity wasted to sweep up a bunch of stood-up girls. So he makes Michael, who is encouraged to womanize in Joey's place, Alex and even Gina 'accidentally' turn up without reservations, so they must join their table. Alex breaks down, realizing she never has any quality time with her touring husband, didn't even get a wish card from Eric. Judy takes everything as a sign of love, so Joey pretends unlike her he wants children- she even converts to parenthood for him! When all seems lost, at her parents...

I disagree with the previous review of this episode, I thought it was great, perhaps up there with the best episode of 'Joey' in general.

The story involving Joey and the reporter was very funny, with a great guest appearance from Dina Waters as Judy. Poor old Joey only wanted a good article written about him, and he ends up being pushed into a serious relationship! It's beautifully played by Le Blanc and Waters.

In a nice change too 'Joey' even attempts to tell three stories in this episode, and although the story involving Michael is slight, there is a lot to like about the Alex/Gina story, as we start to see that all is not well with Alex's marriage.

I enjoyed this episode immensely.

Joey is getting an article about him written for a magazine. he invites the journalist for dinner to make her like him but turns out that it is Valentine's day. So he invites his family and Alex to the restaurant too to make it seem less like a relationship. But this just makes the woman believe he makes her meet her family.

Yikes. Didn't like this episode. It is all based on how women are desperate for a relationship and how older women are a bad thing. Actually the older the woman the less importance she would give to a valentine's day date. It is a big deal when one is 15, in the 30's there is a greater chance she wouldn't notice it even herself. And if he is still single then she is most likely not desperate enough to jump into every relationship. And how the running joke of this episode was how she is older and older than he thought. Pathetic.
