Mirtina tyla (2007) Online
Every town has its own ghost story, and a local folktale around Ravens Fair is about a ventriloquist named Mary Shaw. After she went mad in the 1940s, she was accused of kidnapping a young boy who yelled out in one of her performances that she was a fraud. Because of this she was hunted down by townspeople who in the ultimate act of revenge, cut out her tongue and then killed her. They buried her along with her "children," a handmade collection of vaudeville dolls, and assumed they had silenced her forever. However, Ravens Fair has been plagued by mysterious deaths around them after Mary Shaws collection has returned from their graves and have come to seek revenge on people that killed her and their families. Far from the pall of their cursed hometown, newlyweds Jamie and Lisa Ashen thought they had established a fresh start, until Jamie's wife is grotesquely killed in their apartment. Jamie returns to Ravens Fair for the funeral, intent on unraveling the mystery of Lisa's death. Once...

(at around 1h 10 mins) During the climax, in the storage area with all 101 dolls, you can see Jigsaw's doll from the "Saw" films sitting on the floor, and Edgar Bergen's doll Charlie McCarthy on one of the shelves. The doll that Detective Lipton throws over his shoulder in this scene is a replica of ventriloquist Jimmy Nelson's doll, Danny O'Day.
There are two different versions of the "Mary Shaw" poem. In the movie the poem goes, "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children only dolls. And if you see her in your dreams, be sure you never, ever scream." On the trailer it was, "Beware the stare of Mary Shaw. She had no children, only dolls. And if you see her do not scream, she'll rip your tongue out at the seam."
"Billy" was not only the name of one of the dummies in this movie, but also the name of the puppet used by the Jigsaw killer in the "Saw" movies, also created by Leigh Whannell and James Wan.
The film was made into a haunted house at Universal's "Halloween Horror Nights" in 2007 in Florida.
Leigh Whannell was so unhappy with the finished product, due to studio interference, that he decided to write all future scripts on spec, as opposed to pitching an idea to a studio and then being paid to write the screenplay, as was the case with this film.
Due to the film's box office failure, tentative plans for a sequel were abandoned.
The film is dedicated to producer Gregg Hoffman. He died 2 years before the film had its theatrical release.
Donnie Wahlberg's character's name (Detective Lipton) has the same last name as his character in the HBO mini-series Band of Brothers (2001) (2nd Lt. Lipton).
Not counting any previous victims of Mary Shaw, the body count seen in the film is six: Jamie Ashen, Det. Lipton, Henry Walker, Edward Ashen, Michael Ashen, and Lisa Ashen. Eight, if you count Lisa's unborn baby and Mary Shaw herself. Ten, if you count Bos, the gatekeeper, and Ella Ashen (corpses only shown in a deleted scene).
As every single main character dies in this film, the only survivor of this movie is supporting character Marion Walker, she never even encounters Mary Shaw at any point. She does, however, come close to seeing her when she finds Henry's corpse, having been killed by Mary Shaw.
