The final fight scene takes place where the detective's original partner was killed in the prequel movie, Bach from the Dead.
When Benjamin is running straight towards the camera, during the chase with the Son with No Name, it is an homage to Amadeus (1984).
The extreme closeups prefacing the final fight scene, along with the brass version of Toccata and Fugue in D minor, are an homage to Hea, paha ja inetu (1966).
