The character of James was originally supposed to be played as an Irish white actor, however when Alioune Haynes came in for the audition, Director Christian Forte and Co-Producer Maurizio Sestito were so impressed that they hired him.
In the original edit, Director Christian Forte included an intro sequence containing the origin of the situation that happens in the story (the warehouse raid). After some screen tests, Christian decided to cut it out of the film.
It took an entire year to complete the film from its first draft to its final cut.
All the post-production was done by Christian Forte and Maurizio Sestito.
The graphic design (poster, DVD menu etc.) was actually made by director Christian Forte, but was uncredited in the film.
Christian Forte hired another composer to help with the music. During the post-production process Christian had 6 songs to use (three made by Christian and three made by Luciano). In the final cut of the film all three of Christian songs appear in the film and one of Luciano's songs was used for the end credits.
Shot in 10 days usually from 10pm-4am within 2 weeks.
A blood rig was tested and built in pre-production. It was used for 2 scenes before the rig broke down and the producers decided to scrap it and do the rest of the blood in post-production. The blood rig was used in the second Thug scene beside the house and the garage scene.
Shot in Christian's parent's house and in his neighborhood.
The basement scene was actually shot in a shed in the backyard of the house used in the film.
