Because of poverty, Miho's mom, Mercedes works as an entertainer in Japan. There, Mercedes meets Takagi, an old Japanese man who promises to give her and her family a better life if she marries him. Though Mercedes does not love him, she marries him because of money, only to find out that Takagi is actually penniless. After five years of marriage, Mercedes finally ends her relationship with Takagi. Soon, Mercedes falls in love with Benny who also promises her a better life.
