Negro Colleges In War Time (1943) is an interesting window in the past as the viewer can watch college students & faculty members at Historically Black Colleges and Universities contributing to the war effort. Tuskeegee Institue and Howard University are among the colleges featured. This short is only eight minutes, but if your love WWII history and African American History, one watch will not be enough. No one in the film is credited individually (except. Dr. Carver of Tuskegee Institute whose agricultural research is featured) but if you look very carefully you will see Dr. Charles Drew at Howard Univesity demonstrating how important his blood plasma research is to the war effort.

This short film may have up until a year or so ago been rarely seen but is available online and some Target stores in a DVD set called "Black History: A Retrospectice" from Mill Creek Entertainment.
